Mambo is one of the most outstanding animation studios in the country. These experts in motion graphics and videos that tell stories, asked us to work together to update their identity, developing a profile more focused on an international audience and much fresher, colorful, and powerful.
We worked on an identity that moved away from the meaning of MAMBO. We used this formula before with great success, but we needed to reform it and give it another chance to the word sound and the chromatics that perhaps came out of it.
We designed a logo (based on lettering, say those who know about it) that would allow a more expressive name, with more robust characteristics and making a variation on the initial M, which reflected a little the dynamics that the animation expresses, even if it is static.
The wide characters allow studio animators to generate situations within the letters, which is an attempt to show a restless, agile and funny identity.
We built together with Mambo’s, creative team the identity with graphics and characters that allowed us to navigate the information of the different points of contact of the company. Such as the work team, the types of video, the times, quotes, the website, and even its commercial presentations.
Similarly, we repowered some resources from the old identity and put them into play with the new features (Icons and some additional resources).
Typography: DIDA from the foundry VJ-Type, funny, powerful, and very striking, that matched with the logo features and allowed the animator creator to play with its variations.
We properly manualized and delivered a system easily controllable by the company, also all its communication needs were resolving quickly.
