Cirkus Funk, a caleña band of funk, tropical, and Latin music, invited us to make the poster and the identifier with which they presented and accompanied the video of their new single N.U.M.P.B. (I do not use Mathematics to Dance).
Use the city as a setting, as a character, and as an element of inspiration. The vision encompasses a positioning at the local level, appropriation of spaces, and from this generation of new audience and content. A fusion of the urban, the partying or ritualistic, the caleño, and the contemporary.
We designed an exceptional type, to highlight the uniqueness of the group, its authentic, tropical, free character. An identifier that would allow variations of tonality and a thousand other things.
Palms, hands, typography, texture, stars… a whole series of elements inspired by the daily life of the city, were printed on the poster.
The posters were printed in an A3 format and photocopied to generate different effects on the printing. Finally, they were finished by hand and fastened to the wall to generate the desired texture during the recording of the video and the photographic shots for the promotion of the single.
